Educating in a spirit of audacity and hope

Some students who complete their SACE, make no application for courses but seek employment. It is this group of students who need to be even more organised, focused, obtain good comments on reports and select relevant subject in Years 11 and 12.
Students with a specific employment orientation beyond school are usually advised to undertake full year Mathematics and English courses, where possible, to keep their options open. Those students should also be undertaking holiday blocks of Work Experience to add substance to their resume and improve their employability. Once again, a visit to the Centrelink Careers Reference Centre and meeting our Jobs Pathway Provider will provide suggestions as to how to improve your chances.
Some students may not satisfy the requirements because they will leave before completing the requirements. Students may choose this pathway because they have been offered sound employment option.
Other students may be offered a place in a TAFE Certificate Course (usually Pre Vocational Course). Other students may leave to undertake further studies with a private provider such as a Naturopathy College or Business School.
For further information on your options including Apprenticeships and Traineeships please visit the Career Office or contact the Pathways Coordinator : Mrs Prue Wilkosz
